A Floyd man is dead after wrecking his car in Montgomery County tonight.

The 58 year- old man apparently ran his Ford Thunderbird off the road and
struck a tree at around 6.
It happened on Route 8, between Christiansburg and Floyd.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police are not releasing his name, pending notification of next of kin.

((The FBI refused comment on news reports that a mystery man was
spotted by a ground crew person inside the TWA plane before it took off for
Paris. The man reportedly refused to identify himself and left.

In four weeks of searching the deep waters of the Atlantic, navy
divers have managed to find the bodies 204 of the 230 people onboard.
They've also now recovered about half the plane's wreckage,
including all four of engines.

The F.B.I. has yet to find verifialbe, conclusive traces of
explosives and has only theories as to where a bomb may have been planted.
A main area of interest remains the center of the aircraft where
the most fire damage has been noted.
Investigators have reportedly speculated that the damage is
consistent with a bomb planted either under a seat or in a food and beverage

A dispute between two Madison Heights brothers turned tense tonight after the
disagreement escalated into a police standoff.

Police say Keith Comby assaulted both his mother and brother after an
argument.
When they arrived at the home, police say Comby brandished a weapon and told
them he was not coming out.
A police negiotiator was able to talk Comby out of the home where a .22
caliber rifle and a shotgun were found.
He's been charged with assault.
A police spokesman says the argument started over a broken telephone.
