Dole made many aggressive references to President Clinton and his administration. An 18- year- old Check man is in jail after leading police on a four county, 60 mile car chase on I-81 last night.
A trooper began pursuing David Lucas at the Pulaski/Wythe County line around 6.
Police say Lucas exceeded speeds of 120- miles an hour.
The chase did not end until Lucas smashed into a trooper's car near the Washington County/Smyth County line.
He ran into the median before hitting a tractor trailor in the northbound lane.
Tammy Lilly was a passenger in the car. She was flown to Smyth County Hospital.
Her condition has not been released.
Lucas is being held in the Washington County Jail on numerous charges.

In April, a company named Meadville Forging said it will build a new factory there.

A judge has ruled Commonwealth's Attorney Bill Fuller did not violate Thomas Motley's rights by buying a newspaper ad and outlining Motley's criminal record.
The ad came after Motley was acquitted on appeal of charges he slapped a student. Motley's criminal record was not introduced during that case, and he later was fired from his job as a teacher.
The judge who dismissed Motley's case over the newspaper ad says the prosecutor's actions may have been questionable but he was acting within his official capacity.
