Roanoke Police say Hall pulled back into the right lane when he saw a third
car headed his way in the eastbound lane.
He sideswiped Muse's car, and then hit the third car head- on.
Traffic on Brandon Avenue was blocked in both directions for well over an
hour as emergency crews tried to save the man.
No one else in the accident appeared to have suffered any life threatening
injuries.
Roanoke Police have not completed their investigation into what caused the
wreck.

From the sheer impact of the boat against bodies, it seems it's a
miracle no one died, and more weren't injured. From bumps and bruises
to serious head injuries in critical condition, the injury count
stands at 23...and Sea World of Ohio's Bay Watch Sea Show is scarred
forever.
For a moment the accident is frozen in time. Instinct tell some to try
to lift the boat off the injured, but more than a dozen spectators are
still pinned under the huhl. While some Sea World employees attend the
injured and run for help, all others can do is scream to move the
crowd back.
Away from the driver of the boat seems to signal everything's okay.
Then it appears showmanship turns to panic as the steering wheel spins
and the boat doesn't turn. All the driver of the boat can do is hold
on and ride the boat into the grandstands. The man in the grey shirt
holding the cup takes the power of the impact head-on. What we don't
see are the children in the rows that take the impact of the bow.))

Yugoslavia.
The Russian transport plane was trying to make an emergency landing and had
circled the city for two hours until it crashed onto a field near the runway.

early Saturday morning.

The first robbery took place at the Turbo Food Mart on Plantation Road just
after midnight.
The clerk told police one of the men was carrying a handgun, and they both
wore ski masks.
Around 5-30 A-M the two went into the Uni-Mart on South Jefferson.
The clerk said one of the robbers kept yelling at the one with the gun,
telling him to kill the clerk because the he was taking too long to hand over
the money.
Fifteen minutes later the same scenario was played out at a 7-11 store on
Grandin Road.

Tuesday the plane he was flying crashed near MacAfee's Knob.
But the crash was not the topic of this memorial service.
The hundreds in attendance were there to remember how he lived.

Investigators are still trying to determine the cause of the crash, but they
have ruled out engine failure.
That night the Vinton man aborted one landing attempt at Roanoke Regional
Airport because of fog.
Investigators say he crashed when he was circling for a second attempt.
Talex was relying on his flight plan and radar information from the
Washington Air Traffic Control Center.
