In Nelson County, an anynomous tip helped authorities there break up a
marijuana growing operation Tuesday.
Nelson sheriff Ron Wood says deputies nabbed 26-year old William Wayne Seale
as he reportedly tended to a patch of marijuana plants near Nellysford.
More than 200-thousand dollars worth of pot plants were confiscated from the
scene.
Seale is being held on a ten-thousand dollar bond.
He's charged with manufacturing marijuana with the intent to distribute.

Enrollment at Ferrum peaked in 1982 with more than 16- hundred students.
But in the 1990's there's been a steady decline in the student population.
In fact during the last school year, enrollment bottomed out with 1-
thousand ninety- three students.
But it seems Miller has a reputation for strengthening college admissions.

During his 8 years there, freshman enrollment went up by 21- percent.

Roanoke police report two convenience store robberies last night.
That makes a total of five within the past week.
Police believe the same suspects are responsible in FOUR of the cases.
Last night's robberies occured at the 7-11 in the 14-hundred block of
Grandin Road and at Snappies in northeast Roanoke.
At Snappies the suspect wore a ski mask and matched the general description
given by witnesses in three armed robberies last weekend.
