school... the Citadel.
The Citadel ended its three-year legal battle to BAN women after the U-S
Supreme Court ruled in June that the all-male policy at the Virginia Military
Institute was unconstitutional.

The new recruits come on the heals of the supreme court ruling that makes
unconstitutional to ban women form attending publicly funded colleges.

It's an atmosphere historically geared toward men.
While most cadets now say they are willing to accept women, they admit it
won't be easy.

In Lexington, Virginia Military Institute officials haven't made a decision
on whether the school should admit women.
But female students at V-Will know what media attention is all about.

Now the media attention has shifted to South Carolina.

if they're up to physical challenges of the program.

More wreckage from TWA flight 800 was recovered today.
Investigators are saying the jet may have been destroyed by a bomb that was
not very powerful... but was large enough to make the jetliner's center
fuel tank explode.
According to federal officials, the crash investigation has already cost an
estimated 20-million dollars... mostly due to the difficulty of recovering the
wreckage from the ocean floor and the additional criminal investigation.
Mother Teresa's condition has slightly improved.
Doctors say she has improved somewhat in the last 24 hours.
She was admitted to a Calcutta hospital on Tuesday with a high fever.
Doctors say the 85-year-old's heart condition remains unstable.
She's now breathing with the help of a respirator.

Roanoke's special events committee wanted to bring another festival to the
