The party's convention gets underway today in Chicago.
Last night, Virginia delegates at the Convention recieved some plush treatment from Philip Morris.

School officials say east Roanoke County is growing fast and this project will help alleviate the school's overcrowding problem.

A Halifax County man is behind bars this morning in connection with the shooting death of his wife.
Police say 48-year-old Robert Lewis Clay shot his wife, Joy, in their home yesterday morning.
Officials say she was shot in the arm and head with a 12 gauge shotgun.
Clay is charged with first degree murder.
