But today this two year old girl underwent surgery- Doctors say it'll be a

are trying to figure out the total impact on Martinsville and Henry County.

A freak logging accident killed a 39 year- old Christiansburg man this
It happened shortly after 11 o-clock off Taylor Hollow Road in Montgomery
The man was cutting a tree with a chainsaw when the tree split, and snapped
back into his stomach.
A co-worker ran to his aid but was unable to assist.
The victim suffered major internal injuries and died at the scene.
Authorities are still trying to notify relatives and have not yet released

More drug charges against a former amateur golf champion.
Penny Stallins has now been indicted in Botetourt County.
She's been charged with possession of cocaine with intent to distribute...
plus one count of marijuana possesion.
Last month she received a similar indictment in Salem.
The case grew out of a drug bust in Botetourt County June 3rd.
Stallins is a three time winner of the Roanoke Valley Hall of Fame Women's
She's a former gym teacher from Andrew Lewis High School.
A state Senator says Republican Attorney General Jim Gilmore is not tough
enough on the Chesapeake-based Christian Coalition.
The Coalition founded by televangelist Pat Robertson is already facing
federal charges that it behaves like a partisan political committee -- but
doesn't follow public disclosure laws.
Fairfax state Senator Joe Gartlan- a Democrat- has twice asked Gilmore for a
legal opinion on a hypothetical group like the Christian Coalition.
Gilmore has now dodged it twice, saying the disclosure law is before the
federal court in Roanoke.

She was born with human werewolf syndrome- technically known as hairy

Today doctors inserted special balloons under her skin today to stretch
The hairy patches will later be removed and the stretched skin will cover

Fire Stations in the city of Roanoke got a new look today.
Men and women are now working side by side for the first time-

His girlfriend Jennifer Flavin gave birth to a seven pound three once girl
early this morning in South Miami Florida.
It took 12 hours of labor, but both mother and daughter, Sophia Rose are
