In London this morning, hijackers have allowed more passengers to leave a Sudanese jetliner.

One-hundred-forty passengers -- mostly women and children -- were freed following several hours of negotiations between the hijackers and police.
That leaves 46 passengers and all 13 crewmembers aboard.
Authorities say the jetliner was hijacked by six or seven Iraqis who claimed to have explosives.
They commandeered the plane shortly after takeoff from the Sudanese capital of Khartoum last night.

It called Litton Fibercom.
For the past few years the company has designed a computer networking system for the new Boeing 777 aircraft.

Litton FiberCom's LAN Interface Unit, or L-I-U,

The device centrally connects much of the ship's computer based data, sensor, and navigation devices.
This makes its wiring simpler.

Winske says he's aware of the economic plight Dupont's shutdown will create in the area-- but there are provisions for employees.

The out- of- control wildfires on the west coast were stoked yesterday by more than 6- thousand lightning strikes.

Authorities in California say one of the brush fires did not start naturally.
A 15 year old boy has reportedly admitted to setting this fire on Monday.
It has burned at least 10 thousand acres of heavy bush.
The boy is being held on suspicion of arson.

British authorities say hijackers have now freed about half the passengers from a Sudanese jetliner on the ground in London..

One-hundred-sixty passengers, mostly women and children, were allowed to leave the plane after six hours of negotiations between the hijackers and police.
That leaves 26 passengers and all 13 crewmembers aboard.
Authorities say the jetliner was hijacked by six or seven Iraqis who claimed to have explosives.
The plane was hijacked last night shortly after leaving Sudan.
