turn back tonight and make an emergency landing.
Charlotte Airport officials say the Folker F-28 blew a tire on takeoff.

ValuJet is cleared for take-off again.
The Federal Aviation Administration will allow the Atlanta Based Airline
to fly in seven days.
ValuJet was grounded in June because of concerns about maintenance
That after a ValuJet flight crashed into the Florida Everglades in May
killing 110 people.
The airline is returning with 15 planes- fewer than the 51 planes it was
using when it was grounded.
President Clinton spoke to the nation tonight- accpeting his party's
nomination for another term.
But his day was overshadowed by the resignation of one his top advisors-

Dick Morris has not denied or confirmed the reports.
A judge this morning sealed the fate of a Danville teenager convicted of
murdering a fellow classmate.
17-year old Lawrence Howerton, Junior was sentenced to 36-years in prison.
A jury convicted the teenager last month of killing 16-year old Anthony
The young man was killed on Winslow Street in January.
According to testimony during the trial, the two had been in a fight at
George Washington High school about a week before the shooting.
Howerton was also ordered to pay 12-thousand dollars in restitution to the
Students at Roanoke's Jackson Middle School will get an extra week of summer
The opening of the newly renovated school has been pushed back a week.
Sixth, seventh and eighth graders won't have to go back until Monday,
Sixth-grade orientation is a week from Friday.

Police say the arrest of an elderly couple in Christiansburg should slow the
crack cocaine trade in the New River Valley.
Authorities allege 74 year-old William Bernice Smith and his wife, 59
year-old Josephine Smith were selling crack from their home at 625-B Lyle
Street in Christiansburg.
The Montgomery County Drug Task Force began investigating the couple after
neighbors complained of suspicious traffic at all hours.

Authorities raided the home last night and seized crack, marijuana, almost
eight thousand dollars in cash, three guns and two vehicles.
The Smiths are charged with possession with intent to distribute cocaine and
two related gun charges.
