More than 500 World War Two Veterans and their families gathered in Roanoke
last night for a 50th reunion.
These veterans are part of the 106th Infantry Division Association.
Some were P-O-W's or severely injured during the Battle of the Bulge.
Organizers and veterans say reunions help heal old wounds.

year and did not seek medical help -- even when she realized the girl was

Lockwood has been charged with second-degree murder.
Child sexual abuse cases can present many problems for social workers and
police investigators because of their serious nature.

Gunfire erupted last night at a Richmond hospital.
When it was all over, a woman was dead, her husband was wounded and another
woman was dead of a heart attack.
The woman who allegedly did the shooting was shot by police. She is in
Officials said the shooting stemmed from a domestic argument.
The dead woman and her husband had brought three gunshot victims to the
hospital moments before the shooting started.
The woman who died of the heart attack was one of them.

A tractor trailer slid through an intersection in Halifax County last night,
killing two men.
25- year- old Terry Morrell Anderson and 24- year- old Jeremy Levelle
Ferrell, both of Halifax, were killed when their pickup truck was trapped under
the trailer's rear wheels.
The accident happened at the intersection of US 360 and route 716 in Halifax
State Police are still investigating the crash-- no charges have been filed
at this time.
Two teenagers were seriously injured yesterday in an accident in Botetourt
It happened on Route 43 between Eagle Rock and Buchanan.
State police say the driver of a pickup truck lost control as it was coming
around a curve, and ran off the road into a field.
The driver was thrown from the truck; the passenger stayed inside.
Both were taken by Lifeguard 10 to Roanoke Memorial Hospital.
State police say since they are teenagers, their names will not be released.
It may be time to go back to work and school, but many people in our area
took advantage of the nice weather this Labor Day Weekend.
The smell of grilled food filled the air at most parks yesterday as families
