For more than an hour, fire crews waited to enter this house on Knowles
Road.
A liquid oxygen tank was being stored in the basement... and when flood
waters ripped through the ground- level, the tank started to leak.
That meant the house was in danger of exploding.
The owner of the home, Dan Fargnoli needs the oxygen to survive.
Both he and his wife had to be evacuated.

Before entering the house, firefighters had the electricity shut off.
Then they strapped on gas masks and were able to remove the tank without any
difficulty.
No one was hurt.
But it could be a few days until the Fargnoli's move back in.

more than a half million coastal residents have evacuated.
