Welcome back folks to Friday Football Extra.
Those of you who have been following this show for the past 13 years know
that it has never been cancelled by the weather.
However, if has been affected by the weather on a number of occasions.
And on September 23rd of 1989 we had a situation similar to tonight's when
Hurricane Hugo created havoc overnight and then gave way to sunlight by
afternoon.
That night only one game was played as Brookville Beat Altavista.
Let's a take a look back in the Friday Football Extra Archives.

path to take, Doss was make his own waves against the Knights.
Besides playing his normal stellar game at defensive back, the FOUR year
starter was flexing the wishbone.
Doss picked up 121 yards on 14 carries and carried his team in the fourth
quarter.
((JOHN DOSS/PLAYER OF THE WEEK:))
Actually that's not exactly true. Since stepping on the varsity field in
ninth grade, Doss has been mister dependability. Then this past year he made
himself hit the weights, and then hit them again.

Besides being our first player OF THE week this season, Doss also is a
straight A student, and unlike Fran he plans to stick around for awhile.))
