Tonight a suspect is under arrest.
23 year old Harold David Davis of Marion is charged with capital murder, rape and burglary.

This comes after an Iraqi missile fired at two U-S jets patrolling the northern no-fly zone and an Iraqi fighter penetrated the enlarged southern no-fly zone. Defense Secretary William Perry had strong words for Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein .

The U.S. action also follows reports that Iraq is re-building it's air-defense system taken out in last week's cruise missile attacks by attaching new radar systems to surface to air missiles. The two fighters fired upon were unable to locate the radar site.

Hurricane Hortense is getting stronger.
The National Hurricane Center says its winds are near 110 miles-an-hour and could get more powerful.
Hortense is now hitting the southern portion of the Bahamas.
It is expected to miss Florida- but it may head toward the Northeast and New England Coast where it could hit by Sunday.

The Virginia Tech Football Team has been in the news for the wrong reasons the past couple of weeks, but by no means are off the field problems limited to Blacksburg.

All-ACC kicker Rafael Garcia was convicted on a drunk driving charge in January.
Basketball recruit Melvin Whitaker was arrested for the malicious wounding of a Cavalier football player on the University grounds in March.
And senior point guard Harold Deane was convicted last month of trespassing and resisting arrest.
