The move comes as more U-S fighter planes are also heading to the region.

He was hit by four bullets in a drive-by shooting last weekend.
Surgeons had removed Shakur's right lung and placed him on life support.
It was the second time Shakur had been gunned down in recent years.

Fans bought millions of Shakur's records while others denounced him for glorifying violence, drugs and degrading women.

Anderson was raped and strangled to death inside her home last week.
23 year-old Harold David Davis is charged with THOSE crimes.
Sources says Davis had been on a crew working in Anderson's basement the week before she was murdered.
Davis and Widener were both on probation for previous convictions. They're both being held now on 500 thousand dollars bond.

Under pressure from Bob Dole, the White House has released a statement on President Clinton's medical history.

The statement shows that there is no history of high blood pressure, diabetes, cancer or heart disease.
It also re-states that the HIV test that was taken for insurance purposes in 1990 was negative.
Until now the White House insisted that enough records were released on the President's health.
But Dole pressured for more information.

The Christiansburg police department has placed one of its officers on paid administrative leave pending the outcome of forgery charges.
John Flynn of Christiansburg took out a warrant against officer Connie Bishop, alleging she forged his signature as a co-signer to open a cellular phone account .
Blacksburg police investigated the complaint, and say Bishop left about 325 dollars in unpaid bills and collection costs.
Police say Bishop and Flynn are acquaintances.
Bishop has been a Christiansburg patrol officer for four years.
