Iraq fired three-surface-to-air missiles yesterday in the southern no-fly zone.

A southern California firm, that specializes in airplane accident investigations, is speculating about the cause of the crash of T-W-A Flight 800 off Long Island nearly two months ago.
Experts are suggesting a bomb could have been attached to the underside of one of the main landing gear assemblies.

Police say Harold David Davis killed an elderly Marion Woman.
Yesterday a judge appointed two lawyers from Abingdon to handle his case.
Court records show Davis was placed on five years probation in March for burglary and grand larceny.
Sources say he has previously done some work in the victim's home as a laborer.
68 year-old retired teacher Anna Jean Anderson was raped and strangled to death inside her home on Culbert Street last week.
Police have also charged a juvenile with burglary to commit larceny at the residence.
News-7 has confirmed he is 17 year- old Josh Widener, one of Anderson's former fifth-grade students.

The sentence could be suspended after Lavender serves a year and a half in prison.

Meantime, hurricaine hortense is getting STRONGER, with 140 mile per hour winds, but is not expected to hit the U-S coastline.
Hortense IS likely to cause high seas and strong tides all along the eastern seaboard.
