State police say 31- year- old Hong Lang Hu (WHO) apparently lost control of his vehicle while traveling north in Botetourt county.
Authorities say Hu crossed the median and struck another car head- on-- killing that driver.
Her name has not been released.
Meanwhile, Hu was taken to Roanoke Memorial Hospital, where he was treated for facial injuries.
He's charged with reckless driving.
Both drivers are from Pennsylvania.

And a spokesman for Schewel's says the furniture store will open a customer service office there as well.
Schewel's is looking for temporary space to reopen its STORE in Radford or Fairlawn within the next few weeks.
The fire nearly leveled the entire shopping center Saturday. Still no word on how it started.

Smith allegedly whacked a male dancer with a beer bottle in a Chesapeake nightclub while Smith was celebrating his 21st birthday.
After overseeing an eight hour preliminary hearing, Judge Bernard Goodwyn dismissed the charge after a half dozen witnesses all confirmed that Smith was not involved in the attack.
Smith grew up in Norfolk and was the ACC player of the year at Maryland.
