Police are on the lookout for a man who held up a bank in Galax this afternoon.
Around 5 o-clock, a white male robbed the Signet Bank on East Stuart Drive.
The suspect handed the teller a note and demanded money.
He fled the scene in a four- door Dodge or Chrysler, with an undisclosed amount of cash.
No one was injured.
The man is described as six feet tall, weighing around 210 pounds.
Federal, state, and local authorities are investigating.

The new restaurant is expected to hire at least 70 people locally.

Frank Beamer was the in house for this one.
And he would see daughter Casey do her best to keep the lady Indians close in this one as she get 2 of her team high 16 on the jumper.
But this night would belong to Sara Moore who picked up the slack in Hicks absence scoring a game high 29 points on a menagerie of shots.

Hanging Rock Golf club's Chip Sullivan is leaving the valley this Saturday for a West Coast tournament that could eventually springboard him from the ranks of a club pro to the PGA tour.
