Police are on the lookout for a man who held up a bank in Galax yesterday afternoon.
Around 5 o-clock, a white male robbed the Signet Bank on East Stuart Drive.
Police say the suspect handed the teller a note and demanded money.
He fled the scene, with an undisclosed amount of cash.
No one was injured.
Federal, state, and local authorities are investigating.

A million dollar capital campaign is funding the construction of two outbuildings on the site, including a kitchen that will offer living history programs once it's completed.
Point of Honor was the home of Dr. George Cabell (CAH-bull), physician to Revolutionary War patriot Patrick Henry.

The unit looks like a set-top cable box and it allows viewers to browse the internet from their own televisions.
The price tag is about three hundred, thirty dollars.
Of course you still have to pay a monthly fee to have access to the World Wide Web. One California provider says that will cost you about 20 dollars a month.
