Traffic was tied up for three hours yesterday afternoon in Botetourt County when a tractor trailer overturned on Interstate 81.

State police are investigating an accident involving a Bedford County Sheriff's deputy.
Last night Deputy Mark Dooley was responding to a domestic dispute when he rounded a sharp curve on route 1-22, lost control and totaled his cruiser.
Dooley is hospitalized at Carilion Bedford Memorial Hospital.
Bedford authorities are looking into whether a steering problem with Dooley's patrol car may have contributed to the crash.

Police now suspect robbery as a possible motive in the weekend murder of a Galax man.
79 year- old Willey Lee Goins was stabbed to death in his home on Robinson Street Friday night.

Police still have no suspects.
