The clashes come just one day after fighting erupted when Israel went ahead
with plans to open a historical tunnel near a muslim holy site.
Meanwhile, Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat is warning of a new uprising..
if Israel does not go forward with peace accords forged by Israel's previous

Some neighbors who only know Smith by what they've read say they're willing

last night.

A Roanoke man was shot in a robbery at an A-T-M bank machine when he
resisted.
Robert Leonard Brown told police he went to use the machine at the Crestar
branch on Williamson Road about two o'clock yesterday morning.
A masked gunman demanded his money.
Brown says he handed over 20 dollars, but the robber demanded more.
Brown says he then grabbed the gun and wrestled with the robber, who
regained control of the weapon and fired two shots. One shot hit Brown in the
side.
He was treated at Roanoke Community Hospital.
Police are searching for the robber.
