Family members of murder victims took a stand AGAINST the death penalty
today in Blacksburg.
Murder Victims' Families for Reconciliation is taking its message of
non-violence to communities all over the state.
The two week tour is called The Journey of Hope.
Pat Bane has never supported the death penalty.
And her uncle's murder did not change that.
Bane spoke at the Virginia Tech War Memorial Chapel and told listeners that
victims' family members often seek closure from the murderer's death.
But she says these family members are frequently disappointed.
