with vehicular homicide.

The accident happened last night in a narrow curve of US-220 when the
suspects' car collided with two other vehicles.
A high speed chase started on Interstate 64 in Alleghany County.
29-year old Timothy Wayne Mays died at the scene.

Former heavyweight boxing champ Oliver McCall was charged with driving
under the influence, and disorderly conduct today in Martinsville.
Authorities are also investigating his alleged involvement in a string of
property damage incidents.
Police received complaints of broken windows at the Paradise Inn, the High
Street Baptist Church, as well as at the local boxing ring today.
McCall has admitted to having a crack cocaine addiction.
Earlier this month, though, while training in Martinsville he said he had
kicked his drug habit.

Of the 510-thousand people who get food stamps in Virginia, those between 18

A new study shows that taking estrogen can help prevent osteoarthritis in
women over 65.
The study published in the "Archives of Internal Medicine" found a 38
percent lower risk of osteoarthritis of the hip in women taking estrogen
compared to women who never took it.
Osteoarthritis is a disease of the cartilage in the joints that occurs as
It accounts for 70 percent of the 200-thousand hip and knee replacement
surgeries in the U.S. each year.

The postseason PARTY in major league baseball opened this afternoon in
Baltimore with plenty of fanfare, and thankfully, just the right number of
