A perjury charge was filed against Furhman today.
The former detective entered a not guilty plea.

Furhman has apparently cut a deal with prosecutors- but so far the details haven't been released.

The judge has set an afternoon hearing to announce whether he'll accept the deal.
The perjury charge results from testimony at the O-J Simpson trial that Furhman had not used a racial slur in ten years.
Several witnesses though refuted that claim.
A felony perjury conviction carries a maximum penalty of four years in prison.
