Pre-trial hearings are underway in Denver.
Defense lawyers say the jury will be unable to give Timothy Mcveigh and Terry
Nichols the attention each man deserves...
They fear the two may be presumed guilty by association. And they say both
Mcveigh and Nichols have made statements incriminating each other.
Prosecutors say two trials would be too cumbersome and expensive.
They say, nearly all of the evidence applies to both suspects, so this
should be a joint trial.
