Since June, he has spent about five- point- two million dollars.
The Washington Post says Warner passed the previous mark -- four million dollars -- set in 19-94 by Oliver North.
The campaign finance reports won't be filed until later this month. But Warner aides confirmed the figure.

Police say the driver of the car was going too fast and lost control on route 647, 2 miles north of 646, near Hurley.
The vehicle overturned and the passengers were ejected.
Margaret Ann McCoi ((McCoy)) of Hurley was taken to Buchanan General, where she later died.
The condition of the other two passengers and the driver has not been released.
