With less than a month before Election Day and with a sizeable lead in
recent polls, Senator John Warner has a new issue to deal with.
The incumbent's campaign has admitted using an ALTERED photograph in his
latest T-V ad.
The ad shows Democratic challenger Mark Warner at a 19-94 event shaking
hands with former Governor Doug Wilder. (-------------)
Mark Warner attended the event -- but the actual photo is Wilder shaking
hands with Senator Chuck Robb.
Mark Warner's campaign called the altered photo a DIRTY political trick.
John Warner's campaign said the senator did NOT know about the photo.
In the Ninth District Congressional race plans have been finalized for a
Incumbent Democrat Rick Boucher, Republican Patrick Muldoon and independent
Tom Roberts will square off at seven p-m on October 25th.
The event will be held at Emory and Henry College.
College president Tom Morris will moderate, and the public is invited to

Pat Haynes is vacating his post as chief executive officer of the Bacova
The announcement was made by Burlington Industries, which bought Bacova last
Burlington says Haynes will pursue other business interests and remain on
