Besides Parker, Beamer has suspended several other players this season for
brushes with the law.
During the LAST school year, three players earned misdemeanor convictions,
two others, including quarterback Jim Druckenmiller were charged and acquitted
of assault and battery, and Christy Brzonkala accused three in her alleged
sexual assault.
Athletic department and university officials are fed up.

Police are searching for 27- year- old Brad Duane Osborne.
The crime spree began Wednesday night at a motel in Abingdon where Osborne
allegedly shot his former girlfriend.

Bristol, Tennessee.
She was later released.

The picture was taken at this event two years ago... Former Governor Doug
Wilder and Senator Chuck Robb shaking hands in front of President Clinton.
Mark Warner is very prominently present, as well.
But G-O-P image makers decided to put Mark Warner in the middle of it,
inserting his face over Robb's. John Warner fired the ad agency, and
ordered the spot taken off the air. It took a couple of DAYS to accomplish
that- -you may have noticed it was still running on our air TODAY, and other
stations as well.

More problems tonight for the Yokohama Tire plant in Salem.
The Occupational Safety and Health Administration is investigating the
facility after a worker was injured on the job.
This past weekend, Kenneth Dudley severed all of the fingers on his left
when they got caught in a piece of machinery.
Some workers at the plant say the equipment may have been to blame... but
neither union REPRESENTATIVES nor company officials would comment.
In a twist of fate... Dudley was a victim of Yokohama's latest round of
layoffs.
He was finishing up his last day on the job when the accident happened.
