Five members of a West Virginia militia group are accused of trying to blow
up an F-B-I building.
Law enforcement sources say the F-B-I has arrested all five-- who are
members of the West Virginia Mountaineer Militia.
The sources say the suspects allegedly plotted to bomb a new F-B-I
fingerprint records facility outside Clarksburg, West Virginia.
The facility has been in use for a little over a year. It houses fingerprint
records collected from police departments nationwide.
The federal government says it's broken up a major international drug ring.
The Justice Department says that 34 people have been arrested so far.
Attorney General Janet Reno made the announcement this morning at a
Washington news conference.

The campaign trail made its way to the star city yesterday with a visit from
the daughter of Republican Presidential Candidate Bob Dole.
Robin Dole is a northern Virginia resident and a Virginia Tech graduate.
She's campaigned for her father since she was five- years- old.
Yesterday, she said he will keep his promise to cut taxes and balance the
budget without slashing medicare or other critical programs.

A former Halifax County football star convicted of second degree murder
could be in prison until he turns 49.
A jury last night recommended Lewis Jordan Powell, Junior spend 25-years in
prison for killing 17- year- old Jason Lamont Chandler.
The teen was shot several times outside the Super Eight Motel in Riverdale
on New Year's Day.
Powell had tried to convince the jury he acted in self defense.
But prosecutors maintained the killing was out of revenge-- that the two
belonged to rival drug gangs.
Powell was a member of the 19-91 Halifax County football team the year it
won the state title.

public housing-- the government pays a portion of their rent.
The Danville Redevelopment and Housing Authority was also awarded a 250-
