A Pacer Spokesman reports that Brown will have a double hernia operation at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis and will not join the team in Europe for a pre-season series with the Seattle Supersonics.

The baby's name is (Lour-dis Maria Chick-onay LAY-OWN) Lourdes Maria Ciccone Leon. She weighs six pounds nine ounces.
The 38-year old mother and her daughter are both doing well.
The father is Madonna's personal trainer Carlos (lay-OWN) Leon.
A spokesman for Madonna says the singer would like to thank everyone for their kind wishes.
