car accident over the weekend in Quebec City, Canada.

Many religious conservatitves are planning to stay home on Election Day,

Martin Mawyer said such voters feel that Republican Bob Dole is not

Mawyer said Dole's only chance for winning back disenchanted Christian right
voters is to chance his message.

Fire crews today hope to gain the upper hand on a ten-thousand acre fire in
California's Big Sur.

Steep terrain and the lack of roads in the area are hampering efforts.
21-hundred firefighters are battling the blaze.
At least six of them have been injured.
District of Columbia fire officials now say they have a suspect in

The latest Senate race poll shows incumbent John Warner still way ahead of
Democrat Mark Warner.
The Richmond Times-Dispatch-12 News poll released today shows John Warner
ahead by 20 percentage points -- 48 percent to 28 percent.
But Democrats took some comfort because the poll was the first to put John
Warner under 50 percent.
