A judge today appointed a lawyer to represent James Reid on murder charges.
Police are awaiting forensic test results to decide whether to also charge him with rape.
An autopsy today revealed 90 year old Annie Lester was beaten and stabbed to death.
Her body was found in the bedroom of her home on Saturday.
Investigators wrote on a search warrant affidavit that blood on Reid's jacket and wounds on Lester's chest were consistent with sexual assault.

Part of the problem is Goode's reputation as a middle- of- the- road, conservative Democrat...blurring the distinction between the two candidates.
