It appears state voters are behind Virginia Military Institute's desicion
to give the same rigorous training to male and female cadets.
The Richmond Times-Dispatch-12 News poll released today found that 80
percent of state voters support equal standards.
Only 20 percent said the training should be modified for women.
And a higher percentage of women than men favored keeping the training as it
is.
