She's the youngest Department of Emergency Services field team leader in the state.
Elliott says she applied to VMI as soon as she found out the rigorous physical standards would remain the same for women.

Guatemalans are beginning three days of national mourning- after fans were crushed at a soccer match last night.

About an hour before the match- fans poured through the gates into an already full stadium.
The fans began pushing and shoving- Some people were forced over a railing- others were trampled.
In all 78 people were killed, 127 injured.
The stadium is designed to hold 45 thousand, but some say as many as 60 thousand were there.
The World Soccer Association say fake tickets were apparently sold to the match
