Both candidates are now continuing their campaigning through delegate rich

But 18- year old Brooke Adair Elliott of Poquoson (puh-KOH-sun) is the first
female to apply to Virginia Military Institute for next year.
She's the highest ranking cadet in the Civil Air Patrol in Virginia.

She's the youngest Department of Emergency Services field team leader in the

Guatemalans are beginning three days of national mourning- after fans
were crushed at a soccer match last night.
It is described as one of the worst tragedies in the country's history.
About an hour before the match- fans poured through the gates into an
already full stadium.
The fans began pushing and shoving- Some people were forced over a railing-
others were trampled.
In all 78 people were killed, 127 injured.
The stadium is designed to hold 45 thousand, but some say as many as 60
thousand were there.
The World Soccer Association say fake tickets were apparently sold to the
Residents of a Franklin County apartment building are back home after being
evacuated this morning.
Fire broke out about 9:15 in the Candlewood Apartments.
It was contained to one unit which was destroyed.
The other units suffered some smoke and water damage.
No one was injured.

Virginia Tech hopes to build on its economic development efforts.
Today, the school announced changes that will put more emphasis on creating
jobs in Virginia.

Tech officials say the reorganization will create a "front door" for
businesses that need the university's help.
Lieutenant Governor Don Beyer says students should NOT be able to get out of
school without a "passport".

Pharmacist Steve Nuckols is going into business for himself after more than
20 years with a drug store chain.

After years in the planning stages, construction is finally under way on a
new sewer system for Fort Chiswell and Max Meadows in Wythe County.
Officials broke ground today on the system, which includes five pump
stations, a wastewater treatment plant and 24 miles of pipe.
Officials say while residents will benefit, the system will also aid
development around the interchange of Interstates 81 and 77.
