A Wirtz man was struck and killed by a car last night.
Police say Henry Roosevelt Green was walking east in the traffic lane of route 900 in Franklin County when he was hit.
Green was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police are still investigating.

A judge dismissed the case yesterday against Officer Doyle Cook.
The parents of 17- year- old Jonathon Moran sought the warrant saying Cook used excessive force while arresting their son for violating probation.
Witnesses testified they heard several thumps and screaming after Cook took the teenager into a bathroom.
Cook tells a different story.
He testified Moran was trying to run and that he only used enough force to get the teen into handcuffs.
The judge said both could have handled the situation better.
