Seven cases of Legionnaires' Disease have now been confirmed in the New River Valley-- making this officially an outbreak.
Though two patients are hospitalized in critical condition-- five are already at home, doing well.
Antibiotics can treat the disease...but in some instances, it is fatal.
Legionnaires' Disease comes from the legionella bacteria...it is not spread person to person.
