Testimony lasted one week- but jury deliberations took only 3 hours.
A capital murder conviction tonight for the man accused of killing a Virginia Tech student.
Unless he wins an appeal, Ben Lilly will never walk the streets a free man again.

On December 5th his son, Alexander, was carjacked and then shot to death in the Whitethorne section of Montgomery County.
There were three arrests that night-- Ben Lilly, his brother Mark, and THEIR friend, Gary Barker.
In August, Barker pleaded guilty as an accessory to murder.
He was sentenced to 53 years in prison... and was forced to testify at Ben Lilly's trial.
This past Tuesday, he told the court it was Ben Lilly's idea to abduct Defillipis... and that it was Lilly's who actually pulled the trigger.
The jury believed him.
