Security Guard Jewell was at first applauded as a hero for alerting bomb squads to a suspicious-looking knapsack in Centennial Park. Within days of the bombing, the FBI turned its focus to Jewell as its primary suspect.
Nearly 3 months later, on October 26, U.S. Attorney Kent Alexander sent Jewell's attorneys a letter, letting them know that he is no longer considered a suspect.
