A Roanoke woman hospitalized after
being stabbed outside a grocery store over the weekend has died.
Police on Saturday found 31-year-old Wendy McCullough outside the Galaxy
grocery store on Ninth Street bleeding from a large
stomach wound.
She told officers that her husband stabbed her in the parking lot.
Authorities say McCullough died late tonight.

A Giles County man has died from Legionnaire's Disease.
A spokesperson at Columbia Lewis Gale hospital says the elderly man died
last night.
Only two other people with Legionnaires remain in the hospital.
One is critical, the other is in stable condition.
Officials are not releasing the patients' names.

disease.
The total number of cases in the New River Valley is now 11.

Health officials suggest that anyone experiencing pneumonia-like symptoms

The state's largest health insurer got permission today from the State
Corporation Commission to change from a mutual company owned by its
policyholders to a public company that would be traded on Wall Street.
Trigon says it needs to make the change to raise money to compete with
large, out-of-state insurers moving into Virginia.
The state will require Trigon to pay 175 million dollars because its tax
status has changed.

body in the trunk of his car hours before taking his own life during a
standoff.

high speed chase from Danville to Ringgold.
Authorities were pursuing the 35- year old concerning the whereabouts of his
wife.

his Ringgold home and pointing a gun at his head.
Authorities and a minister negotiated with Scearce for several hours
before he turned the gun on himself around one- thirty.
