Also today, the judge cut short defense questioning on the last few

could not be asked during cross-examination.
Simpson's attorney has now filed an appeal to stop the trial and rule on
what can and can not come up in cross-examination.

A letter carrier was indicted today for stalking women on his postal route
in Southeast Roanoke.
The incidents occurred in July and August. Anthony Tyler Jefferson is
accused in an eight- count indictment of stalking, making obscene phone calls,
assault and battery.
Chief Assistant Commonwealth's Attorney Betty Jo Anthony says Jefferson was
indicted LAST month for breaking and entering with intent to commit rape- -also
on his mail route.
Jefferson is already out on bond ...but lost his job with the Postal Service
over the breaking and entering charge.

Medical Center from its network.

A press release from Trigon Blue Cross Blue Shield indicates the move is a
financial one.
The health insurer says the hospital's costs are approximately 30-percent
higher than those of comparable facilities in the area.
A Danville Regional spokesman says the hospital was under the impression it
still had 60-days to work out a new contract.
If the two sides aren't able to reach an agreement, the hospital will be
dropped from Trigon's network January first.
Danville Regional says regardless of the outcome, patients with Trigon
coverage will NOT be turned away.

Center.

A publicist for Jackson says a longtime friend of the singer is carrying
the child.
She is 37 year old Debbie Rowe- a nurse who treated Jackson for his rare skin
disease.
Jackson's spokeswoman quotes the singer as saying he is thrilled he will
soon be a father.
He calls the impending birth a dream come true.
A London Tabloid had reported the baby was conceived by artificial
insemination and that Jackson is paying Rowe more than a half million dollars
to carry the child.
Jackson's publicist though is denying that report.
