In Rockbridge County voters overwhelmingly rejected a referendum on plans to
build a general aviation airport near Lexington.

Debakey confirmed today that surgeons performed five bypasses on Yeltsin.
He says Yeltsin should be back to work full-time in about two months.

leading police on a chase through Maryland, the District of Columbia and

It all began in Baltimore when a man stole a city bus.
The driver then led police on a 90 minute chase-- to the Capital Beltway
around Washington and into Northern Virginia.
The bus thief suffered minor injuries when he crashed into a Median. No

The race for Virginia's 6th District ended early.
Just one hour after the first votes were tabulated, incumbent Republican Bob
Goodlatte was declared the winner.

In Charlottesville, Fifth District Republicans were surprised by the margin
of defeat for their candidate George Landrith.
In an emotional concession speech, Landrith thanked his supporters for their

Reports say the 58- year- old Harrick is under fire after an internal
