The battle over allowing Rush Limbaugh material in a Bedford County school is now heading to federal court.

Attorneys for the Rutherford Institute had threatened to sue the school for its policy that barred students from bringing outside reading material to class.
The civil liberties group is representing 9- year- old Jason Gardner, who claims teachers have twice confiscated the works of Rush Limbaugh from him in class at Montville Elementary School.
School attorney Pat Lacey, however, denies those allegations, and today told the Rutherford attorneys: "..the facts and the law are on our side and no amount of threats and chest thumping will alter that fact...".
A representative of the Rutherford Institute told News7 today "somebody in this case is lying and it's not my client."
Rutherford attorneys plan to file a new complaint in federal court sometime next week.

The original C-S-X/Conrail merger plans had Conrail shareholders getting a combination of cash and C-S-X stock for a total value of 93- dollars- a- share.
N-S countered with a bid of 100- dollars- a- share, all in cash.
Then the price of C-S-X stock dropped, causing the value of its Conrail offer to fall.
So C-S-X added more cash to the deal to bring it back to its original value.
And today N-S dealt what some analysts call a crushing blow, upping the bid for Conrail to 110- dollars- a- share. ))
Live=Len Full/Newsroom

From the way this sounds, you'd think Conrail shareholders would be crazy NOT to accept the N-S bid.
But the intricacies of corporate law in Pennsylvania, where Conrail is based, is making the C-S-X/Conrail merger hard to reverse.
N-S is challenging some of those laws in court later this month.
