Liberty University could lose ownership of its Lynchburg campus if it can't make more than a million dollars in overdue payments to bondholders.

According to a story today in the Roanoke Times, the school has until Tuesday to come up with the money or face foreclosure.
Liberty owes an estimated 15 million dollars to its bondholders, but the cash- strapped school has offered to repay just half that amount.
But attorneys for the school's creditors say that's not enough, and they reserve the right to foreclose on the property.
The campus and buildings are said to be worth between six and eight million dollars.
