Over the weekend, those same committees threatened to foreclose on the school unless the interest payments were made.

Police are still searching for suspects in an apparent carjacking that happened yesterday morning in northwest Roanoke.
48- year- old John Alexander Carter told police he was driving along Center Avenue, when a man gestured for him to stop.
Carter said another man got in his truck, displayed a handgun and demanded money.
When he did not find any cash, the man reportedly fired shots through the driver's side window.
Carter then jumped out of his truck-- and the suspect drove away.
Last night, authorities found Carter's abandoned pickup truck.

The San Diego Chargers used a Hail Mary in the first half, and some sure handed play in the second to come out ahead of the Detroit Lions in Monday Night Football.

The Chargers took a quick 7- nothing lead.
Tony Martin was on the receiving end of a 32 yard pass from Stan Humphries--
But Barry Sanders ran for two touchdowns to go up 14- 7.
In the closing seconds of the first half-- the Chargers connect on the Hail Mary. Vince Coleman falls down in the back of the end zone for the 17- 14 halftime lead.
Late in the fourth quarter, Don Majkowski (ma-COW-ski) gets the one yard touchdown pass to Brett Perriman to bring the Lions within 6- But Junior Seau (Say-OW) recovers the onsides kick to seal the win for the Chargers.
