School officials began working on a new policy late last year. It targets individual frat members involved in hazing, and puts their academic futures on the line. The minimun penalty, immediate suspension.

Autopsy results reveal 29-year-old Dorothy Gilliam died from a single gunshot wound to the head.
Her body was found in a burning van yesterday in Lynchburg.
The medical examiner says 34-year-old Dennis Oxford, also in the van died of smoke inhalation.
A note found near the vehicle said Oxford blamed Gilliam for a health problem.
The medical examiner refused to comment on the problem, or if there was one.

The last of three hostages overpowered the gunman-- he'll be charged with three counts of kidnapping.

The President has now agreed in principal to join a canadian-led relief team bound for Goma.. where civilians have been trapped for two weeks after rebels took hold of the borders.
Despite urgency stressed by the United Nations, White House officials remember Somalia.. and say the President is cautious about this mission. MIKE MCCURRY/WHITE HOUSE SPOKESMAN: THE WHITE HOUSE WANTS TO AVOID THE PITFALLS OF THE PAST. PRESIDENT CLINTON HAS MADE THIS A CONDITIONAL RELIEF MISSION: GROUND TROOPS WILL STAY IN THE AREA FOR NO LONGER THAN FOUR MONTHS.
