Chief Medical Examiner David Oxley says 29- year- old Sharon Gilliam was shot once in the head.
Gilliam and 34- year- old Dennis Oxford were found dead in the burned out van behind the Lynchburg newspaper office.
Oxford died of smoke inhalation.
Police say Oxford blamed Gilliam for a medical problem he had.
Oxley refused to say what that problem was, or even if Gilliam had one, citing patient confidentiality.
