A Clifton Forge nursing home is losing its Medicare and Medicaid funding.
Shenandoah Manor has not complied with state regulations-- and as a result, residents may have to move out.

Norfolk Southern has offered more than one billion dollars more for Conrail than C-S-X.

Virginia's lawmakers will have more money than expected to work with next year.
A steadily improving economy combined with lower than expected welfare costs have produced a 265 (M) million dollar surplus.
115 (M) million dollars is availble to allocate at next year's General Assembly sesssion.
But about 150 (M) million dollars is already earmarked for new mandates in education and prisons.

A Hillsville jury has recommended a life prison term instead of the death penalty for capital killer Dennis Stoneman.

William Shifflett and Robert Louis Albright were released after their fingerprints were not found at the murder scene.
A judge has now ordered new lab test on a pocket knife taken from the two men.
