The Cougars came down the hill at Kenneth Dobson stadium unaware of what they

On Brooke Point's first play from scrimmage, Daniel Davis takes the ball down

86 yards to set up the first TD of the night.
The Black Hawks and Davis would get busy again as Davis takes it 42 yards off

Pulaski County would finally get on the scoreboard on this 59 yard punt

(----------------)
VO-NAT eng#
SUPER=51-Rural Retreat/Bland Co. vs. Rural Retreat; :00
After the captains shook hands at midfield it was the Indians who came out
with fire in their eyes.
Early in the second quarter with a 3rd and four on the Bears' 17, Indians
back Michael Shadley takes the Wayne Terry handoff and he's taking it around
the left end for 12 yards, moving it down to the five.
This time Terry will call on number 45 Gene Field, who pushes through the
line and in for the score to make it 7-to-zip.
After a Bland County punt the Indians would take over on their own 22, and
this time Fields cuts wide around the right side, shield off a couple of Bears
tacklers and break free on a 78 yard gallop for another score, and a
14-to-nothing lead.
Still in the second, Bland would get knocked back again, as the Indians' John
Brewster puts the sack on quarterback John Michael Newberry for a seven yard
loss.
But Newberry would call on J.D. Lambert, as number 32 will take it on the
reverse and pick up pick yards for a first down into Indians territory.
SUPER=52-Bland Co./0/Rural Retreat/22;
But the Indians defense was the story in this one as Brewster and James Bear
put the breaks on Newberry again to preserve the shutout as Rural Retreat

The Chilhowie fans got warmed up early, but it was the Spartans who came out
redhot in front of the home folks.
Giles' Chris Ratcliffe takes the snap and is off to the races, as he picks
up 10 yards to the outside.
Several plays later, Ratcliffe's number would come up again. On this 3rd and
2 at the three he goes right and the Spartans draw first blood to take a
6-to-nothing lead.
The Warriors were now forced to play catchup, and quarterback Harley
Davidson, yes folks that is really his name! - revs up the offense with the 2
yard touchdown run to make it 9-to-7 Giles.
But the Giles offense put it in cruise control, as Ratcliffe drops back to
pass and finds a wide open Monte Tickle. He will cut across the field and pick
up a dozen yards.
