Meanwhile, state officials explained that the facility didn't pass muster
with the health department-- and residents will have to find another place to
live by December 22nd.

The Commonwealth's attorney says a motion has been filed to restore some of
the suspended penalties from Ward's previous convictions.
Whistle blowing continues OFF the field- this time in MONTGOMERY County
Trial dates were set this morning for eight current Virginia Tech football
players and one former Hokie.
Most of them face assault charges.
They're accused of beating up 2 members of the track team outside the
Squires Student Center last August.
But 2 football players also face felony offenses.
Angelo Harrison is charged with attempted malicious wounding in connection
with the fight.
In an unrelated incident, Brad Baylor is charged with abduction.
Their attorney entered not guilty pleas for both of them.

Hiroshi Fujisaki announcing that he is dismissing a juror on Tuesday,
reportedly for misconduct. This on the heels of a very tough day for OJ
Simpson. Plaintiff's attorney Daniel Petrocelli picked up where he left off on
Friday, grilling Simpson about the cuts on his left hand...cuts Simpson says
could be blamed on a broken glass in his Chicago hotel rooom.

At first, officials arrested two men in a hospital-- but now a

Christopher James Saul's plea today will keep him from facing the death
Last year when he was 19, he beat a Roanoke County mechanic to death so he
could use his '86 Chrysler.
Saul pled "no contest" today to robbery and first-degree murder to avoid a
A Roanoke County detective testified that Saul picked up a buddy and their
girlfriends for a night of partying at a Roanoke Hotel.

Saul beat Christopher Lee Wilson to death with a crescent wrench from

Lynchburg authorities are still looking into how a city man died and his
wife ended up in the hospital this weekend.
A neighbor found 87 year old Edward M. Wright dead and his wife unconscious
in their Chickasaw Road home Saturday morning.
86-year old Maureen Wright remains hospitalized in serious condition.
A medical examiner says Edward Wright had cancer but an autopsy today did
NOT indicate a possible cause of death.
Police say the possibility of a murder and attempted suicide is just one
theory they're pursuing.
