Radford police are investigating the weekend murder of a young woman.
Police say 21-year old Melissa Ann Dyal (Dial) was fatally shot yesterday morning.
The man who shared the same residence with her, 26 year old Chad Joseph LaRue has been taken into custoday and charged with her murder.
Police have not disclosed where Dyal's body was found.

But he says if foot traffic was low it's because the sponsors--one of which is W-D-B-J--did not do their jobs.
He says they should know the gate totals by next week.
And Hamilton points out some vendors did make money.

Pepper you may recall is the three legged dog also known as Tripod, who was sheltered at the S-P-C-A and looking for a home.
The S-P-C-A took applications for more than a month, looking for the best home for the orphaned dog.
Jim and Judy Maddox took custody of "Pepper" Saturday.
Judy Maddox says "Pepper" is so charged with energy that it's a good thing they have 10 acres.
And she says "Pepper" is getting along great with their dog "Rusty."
Rusty also happens to have just three legs.

Experts are predicting an increase in the 19-97 tobacco quota.
That could mean could one of the busiest growing seasons for tobacco farmers.

McPeters predicts the quota will increase 13- percent or more, based on the purchasing intentions set by the company's last year.
