Black farmers have filed a lawsuit against the United States Department of
Agriculture in an attempt to stop foreclosures on their loans.
The lawsuit also seeks compensation for farmers who say they have been
discriminated against by U-S-D-A credit agencies.
Eleven of the 30 farmers specifically mentioned in the suit are from
Virginia.
Just in case they do not win in court, the National Black Farmers
Association is moving forward with plans for a demonstration in Washington on
December 12th.
